…the delivering EMT has to physically restrain herself from vomiting on the patient, who has himself vomited astonishing quantities of gastric contents. I feel sorry for my colleague who was in the Splash Zone…I feel even sorrier for the poor Environmental Services guy who had to clean it all up.
Gross.



I feel terrible about some of the messes our environmental services people have to clean up… talk about unsung heroes
That’s why I’m not a nurse, too much poop and vomit cleanup situations….
As an EMT with a sometimes sympathetic stomach, I feel for her. Vomit doesn’t necessarily shake me, but a ruptured colostomy bag gets me every single time.
