DISCLAIMER

Welcome to the disclaimer! Thank you for reading Respiratory Therapy 101, and I hope you have enjoyed your blog experience. However! There is something important you must know.

This is a blog. The information contained in this website is not to be taken as actual medical advice. While the content here is created and presented by a bona fide respiratory therapist, it is not medical advice. The author is not a physician and any and all questions relative to your own health, the health of a friend or family member, and/or patient care should be directed to a qualified physician.

The author would be quite pleased to offer opinions, insight, or information about his own personal experiences. Indeed, the content presented herein is just that: opinion, insight, and personal experience. But I would like to once again in bold print remind you that the content of this website is not medical advice.

UPDATE: Credit for the disclaimer goes largely to reader Cheri, who had a most amusing encounter with a nurse who was using a sarcastic post from this blog as medical information to defend her ignorance to a leader. Don’t be like the nurse who amused Cheri so: take the blog as entertainment and nothing more.

I am a Doc with a blog and I am the same with mine. There is no way to give good advice without being there. At the same time, I enjoy the perspective of fellow health care professionals and hope they enjoy mine.

Like you say, though, the blog can’t substitute for for first hand advice.

By the way, the RTs in our place were all top notch and enormous allies in the I.C.U. back in the days when I was still doing that kind of work.

Another note: I decided to add a formal disclaimer to my blog. I borrowed the idea from you, but did give you credit.
